industry in that it has roof consultant
expertise as well as self-performance expertise
at the contractor level. That combination has
served our multiple-facility building owners
very well. For each assignment that we receive
as a contractor the customer also gains benefit
of our consultancy experience. For each
assignment that we receive as a consultant we
are able to factor in real world, practical
contractor challenges.
For some customers we serve only as a
consultant for inspections, assessments,
recommendations, project management and design
for the remedies. For some customers we serve
only as a contractor often working in tandem
with other roof consultants.
There are several very valid reasons that
enable our business model to work for the
customer. CIRSCO is not beholding to any
manufacturer, or product, and as both a
consultant and a contractor has access to most
of the materials and systems in the
marketplace. This enables us to maintain a
completely unbiased perspective to identify the
correct solutions for the customer.
CIRSCO maintains active status as a member
of the National Roofing Contractors
Association, the Florida Roofing & Sheet
Metal Association and the Roof Consultants
Institute. These are the leading voices in
their respective areas and they are fiercely
vigilant about all issues that affect the
roofing industry. Each of these associations
depends on multiple disciplines within their
membership when they publish the valuable
resources upon which we depend.
Additionally, CIRSCO has worked with FM
Global and major insurance companies
implementing remediation techniques for
in-place roof systems and is experienced with
wind uplift resistance testing of in-place
systems to meet the latest in insurance
requirements. We have been instrumental in
designing alternative methods for industrial
building owners to satisfy additional deck
fastening required for insurance renewal.
CIRSCO maintains excellent business
relationships with the leading manufacturers
and suppliers and has identified their key
technical personnel with whom we should consult
on different issues. They understand that we
highly regard the relationship and treat the
technical information that they provide with
the proper respect and in its proper
context.
CIRSCO's combined staff and field personnel
have decades of experience inspecting,
evaluating, project managing, repairing and
installing hundreds of millions of square feet
of roof materials and systems in all types of
environments. There is no substitute for that
kind of experience and we believe that all of
our customers should benefit from our
knowledge.
But the single most important reason that
allows the CIRSCO consultant/contractor model
to work is embedded in our relationships with
our customers. We have always conducted our
business behavior with fairness and honesty and
they have come to depend on us when they have
roofing issues. We recognize that it takes a
long time to build that level of integrity. We
also recognize that if we were to violate our
customers' trust we could lose that integrity
